You haven’t tasted barbeque like this except in your Wild West dreams! Put on your cowboys boots or dancing shoes and get ready for a hoot at Eddie Deen’s Ranch (in Downtown Dallas). Listen and dance to the Fabulous Breckenridge Band. Place your bets! Armadillo Races! Ride a Mechanical Bull, or, for the less adventurous just take a photo with a friendly 2,000 pound Longhorn Steer. Through it all, lift your glass to the girls of the Red Garter Review!

The evening will conclude with the SAGES International Sing-Off. All Surgical Spring Week attendees are welcome to enter the competition (see instructions below).

The Eighth Annual SAGES International “SING-OFF” Celebrating SAGES 25th Anniversary

Sing-Off Instructions
How to Enter the Competition:

  1. Due to limited time, you MUST sign up in advance to participate. Acts will not be added on-site.
  2. All acts are limited to one song or presentation, not to exceed 5 minutes. The MC has been given “pull the plug” privilege, and will adhere strictly to this time restriction. We encourage SAGES 25th Anniversary themes.
  3. Keep in mind that the Sing-Off is in the name of fun. Serious musicians need not apply!
  4. Please rehearse your act in advance. You will be performing for several hundred of your colleagues!
  5. All Sing-Off participants are required to attend a rehearsal prior to the event on the evening of the main event at the Ranch (exact time TBD)
  6. When you register, you must include the name of your group, names of participants (aliases are acceptable), name of your act or song, and city or institution. These will be published in the program. Please contact Sallie Matthews at the SAGES office (sallie@sages.org) no later than March 15, 2006 to register.
