Laparoscopic Gastrostomy Tube Placement

This is a technique of gastrostomy tube placement (LAPGT) that was developed in Birmingham, AL by Keith Georgeson, M.D., Thomas Pranikoff, M.D. and myself when Tom & I were fellows. This technique allows the primary placement of a Mic-Key ® button gastrostomy device.
