IPEG Award Opportunities
Research Grant Award
The purpose of the Research Grant is to stimulate and support high quality original research from IPEG members in basic and clinical science.
Eligibility: This grant is open to IPEG members in good standing. The applicant should have the necessary research facilities and infrastructure available to them to complete their research. The proposal should place an emphasis on basic science research.
Award prize: $5,000 USD grant and a certificate. One winner will be selected by the Research Committee and awarded on site at the annual meeting.

Think Tank/up to 5 Regional “Traveling” Awards
This exciting new award provides members the opportunity to share their current research projects, interests and ideas with the Research Committee through IPEG’s Think Tank.
Eligibility: IPEG members in good standing from any of the 5 international regions (Latin America, Middle East, Asia, Europe and North America)
Award prize: Monetary prize of up to $2,000 USD (up to 5 recipients- 1 per region) that can be used for membership fees and future annual meeting registration. In addition, winners are awarded the opportunity of involvement in the IPEG Research Committee for one year.

IRCAD Award
As a result of a generous grant provided by Karl Storz Endoscopy, one fellow will be selected by the IPEG Research Committee each year to travel to Strasbourg, France to participate in a course in pediatric minimally invasive surgery at the world famous European Institute of Telesurgery. This center, on the campus of the University of Strasbourg, is a state-of-the-art institute for instruction in all aspects of endoscopic surgery. It is now providing a series of courses in pediatric surgery under the direction of Dr. Jacques Marescaux and Dr. Francois Becmeur.
Eligibility: during abstract submission, applicants will be considered for the IRCAD award. All submissions are reviewed and scored by the Program Committee. The top 15 highest scored abstracts are then eligible for review and the winner is selected by the Publication Committee.
Award Prize: The award covers the IRCAD course fee and travel expenses of total up to $7,500. The winner is announced on site at the annual meeting during the awards ceremony.

Coolest Tricks Award
Submit your “coolest tricks” abstract to be considered for this award. Abstracts selected and presented at the Coolest Tricks Session during the annual meeting are eligible for this fun award. The voting is done by your peers, so be ready to present your best stuff.
Award Prize: Bragging rights, certificate and local gift

Innovation Award
Submit your innovation abstract to be considered for this award. Abstracts selected and presented at the Innovations Session during our annual meeting are all eligible for this award. Voting is done by the IPEG Innovation Committee.
Award Prize: Monetary prize of $1,000 USD that can be used for membership fees and future congress registration.

Long Term Research Fund
