Drill 2 – Running the Bowel

Task 3: Running the Bowel

Objective: Run the bowel from the Ligament of Treitz to the ileocecal valve, noting any abnormalities

Performance Scoring:
Time to complete task
Errors Reversed direction
Missed markers/abnormalities (2 markers- 1 pink, 1 white; 1 Meckel’s-looped segment with knot)
Instruments removed/withdrawn from the trainer

Task 4-Laparoscopic Suturing

Objective: Place 4 interrupted sutures, each secured with 4 knots (throws) (intracorporeal tying)
