Dear IPEG members and colleagues,
We welcome you to a new season at IPEG, filled with exciting changes and preparation for our 32nd annual meeting. It was great to see many in Miami in June 2022 for our hybrid meeting of what our past president dedicated his speech to, ‘our IPEG family’.
All together again was the theme for this past year’s congress, which became not just true but was outstanding and heart-warming to meet up again in person.
That is what IPEG always was and still is about.
At IPEG we have always been proud of being the innovative international pediatric surgical society advancing minimally invasive surgical approaches. We still are.
While we face several challenges and changes to IPEG, we have continued to adapt to our world which has impacted our ability to gather. International travel, mobility, sponsorship, global economics, and war in Europe.
We are looking forward to a year full of new opportunities to share with our group. In 2023 IPEG will have our first joint congress with our friends and colleagues from the European Society of Paediatric Endoscopic Surgeons (ESPES).
The meeting will take place in Sorrento (Naples), Italy from July 5-8, 2023, at the Hilton Sorrento Palace.
We will bring you both IPEG’s renowned Mastery Learning courses, online access to IPEG Academy on Stay Current, and outstanding trainee resources to teach, learn and improve your skills.
We can’t wait to welcome all of you there for what we believe will be a robust, interactive, and innovatively inclusive meeting. But most of all it will be again meeting up with friends, enjoying long-lasting friendships, finding new ones, and embracing new members of our IPEG family.
Now is a great time for you to
- Submit abstracts to the 2023 annual meeting
- Renew your IPEG membership and encourage pediatric surgeons to join
- Take advantage of opportunities to join IPEG committees
- Connect with @IPEGsurgery across social media platforms
We warmly invite you all to attend! Save the date!
My sincere best wishes to all of you. For your health, strength, and resilience throughout this year and for peace.
I am very much looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
